PSYCA Hosted a Nature Immersion Experience!
A testimonial from someone inspired to take action:
“I started a Cannabis company that was acquired by investors. I tried to steer them towards sustainable practices, unsuccessfully. This nature immersion experience and meditation has re-inspired me to revisit making change in our organization.” -Thilo, Cannabis Entrepreneur

PSYCA Community News!
Opportunity! Legal Psilocybin Healing for Climate Leaders
PSYCA is proud to share the launch of the Community Leaders Resilience Fund, a new scholarship initiative designed to support environmental and climate leaders in accessing legal psilocybin services in Oregon and Colorado. The fund provides up to $3,300 per participant, covering the cost of two facilitated sessions, lodging, and light meals. In addition to financial assistance, the program brings participants together in cohorts of 4–8, offering shared experiences and peer connection. They also help navigate logistical barriers by coordinating with high-integrity service centers and securing accommodations.
Two retreat weeks will be hosted at the Cora Center in Portland—on July 15 & 17 and August 12 & 14, with potential for expansion based on interest. The fund is intended for individuals who would not otherwise have access to this work, particularly those experiencing burnout or distress in their climate leadership roles and for whom legal access is essential. Apply here.

New Research Links Psychedelic Use to Resilience in the Face of Eco-Anxiety
We’re thrilled to celebrate PSYCA member Isabel Santis, whose groundbreaking dissertation is now available on ProQuest! Her research explores how intentional psychedelic use can transform the experience of eco-anxiety—shifting it from paralyzing distress to deeper equanimity, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Through in-depth interviews, Isabel found that while eco-anxiety sometimes intensified, participants also reported increased emotional regulation, spiritual connection with nature, and a turn toward meaningful personal and community-level environmental action. Her work opens important doors for understanding how psychedelics might support climate-conscious mental health and creative responses to ecological crisis. Read it all here.
