Denver! PSYCA at MAPS’ Psychedelic Science:
A Panel, Pitch & Mycelial Gathering
We just wrapped an inspiring week in Denver, where PSYCA contributed to consciousness and climate conversations. Our panel—“Psychedelics, Social Change, and Environmental Justice” (photo above, left)—explored how expanded states of awareness and the communities around them can help shape a just, regenerative future.
Thank you, Lucid News, for capturing takeaways: Sutton King (Urban Indigenous Collective) shared, “Our people are the original conservationists… My grandmother told me, ‘There’s a reason we have two ears and one mouth.’” She emphasized the need to slow down and listen—especially to elders—and to shift from a mindset of ownership to one of responsibility and relationship with the land.
Marc Buckley (ALOHAS Regenerative Foundation, UN Ambassador) posed to the audience: Close your eyes. Now, picture “home” in your mind. What did you see? “If you didn’t picture Earth… that’s a problem.” Buckley also reminded us, “Microbes and fungi were some of the first life forms on this planet… and psychedelics reconnect us to that ‘primordial soup we crawled out of.” And Marissa Feinberg (PSYCA) emphasized, “It’s not just about personal healing—it’s about integrative healing. Our deepest medicine is remembering we belong to the Earth.”
Throughout the week, PSYCA also pitched at the Conscious Capitalism Summit, sat in on sessions on ecological medicine and systems change, and hosted a vibrant Mycelial Gathering to close it all out (photo above, right). Our spores keeps growing—thank you to all who helped cultivate such a meaningful week of connection and co-creation.

Opportunity! Legal Psilocybin Healing for Climate Leaders
PSYCA is proud to share the launch of the Community Leaders Resilience Fund, a new scholarship initiative designed to support environmental and climate leaders in accessing legal psilocybin services in Oregon and Colorado. The fund provides up to $3,300 per participant, covering the cost of two facilitated sessions, lodging, and light meals. In addition to financial assistance, the program brings participants together in cohorts of 4–8, offering shared experiences and peer connection. They also help navigate logistical barriers by coordinating with high-integrity service centers and securing accommodations.
Two retreat weeks will be hosted at the Cora Center in Portland—on July 15 & 17 and August 12 & 14, with potential for expansion based on interest. The fund is intended for individuals who would not otherwise have access to this work, particularly those experiencing burnout or distress in their climate leadership roles and for whom legal access is essential. Apply here.
